CH: 崇禎十六年，孫傳庭奉命抗李自成，兵寡援絕，孤軍死守潼關，力戰而亡。西北隨之陷落，次年大明覆滅。

哀破長空血染塵，
恨撒荒丘盡孤魂。
鐵騎絕聲山月冷，
孤星墜關天不聞。

In the sixteenth year of Chongzhen’s reign, Sun Chuanting was ordered to resist Li Zicheng. Outnumbered and cut off from reinforcements, he held the line at Tongguan with a lone force, fighting to the death. The northwest fell soon after. The Ming dynasty collapsed the following year.
